Wrong shape The shape of the cup featured on this stamp is not the current one as can be seen on a photograph. (CANADA - 1987)


Not yet built. View of the city of Luxembourg around 1850. The viaduct however did not exist at this time. (LUXEMBOURG - 1967)

Too early This stamp was printed in 1913. The bridge in the background id the railroad brigde over the Quiantang river. Although the brigde was planned in 1913, it was built between 1934 and 1937 (CHINA - 1913)


Wrong flag Stamp showing the 'August 1' army crossing a scene of the Yang-tze River campaign. This campaign was carried out from April 21 to 23, the design of the flag was promulgated some months later, on June 15th. (CHINA - 1977)

Anachronism Commemoration of the landing of the immigrants in 1840 from the barques Tory and Cuba, and the ship Aurora. The ships are illustrated with double topsails, which did not come into use until 1855. (NEW ZEALAND - 1940)


Not coherent The ship and cannon correspond to the period La Fayette reached America, but both flags are modern ones. (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - 1952)


Additional tower The Danish King Canute is shown in front of the Lund cathedral in 1085. The cathedral is showed with two towers then had only one tower. (SWEDEN - 1985)
